Music is a universal language perfectly captured and interpreted by man since the very beginning, one way or the other music is always with us, so it would be idle to pretend that we were so, every one of us give a sense and meaning to the music you play, anchoring a souvenir, or someone somewhere in one or other song. But the music also had other purposes, such as the dissemination and propagation of an idea (very common in medieval singing the news while playing the lute) and today in some regions of Mexico like the corridos.

In this case it is also giving voice, sound and texture to a message, a message of women fighting, forgiving, loving and who call on the son, husband, brother.

More than 20 years in northern Uganda, where the country is bordered by Sudan began a political war that took a religious character. Under the command of Joseph Konny, the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA or Lord's Resistance Army) troops facing the Central Government. displacing more than two million people into camps emerging and has killed over 120 thousand.

LRA troops abduct children to swell their ranks, making them kill their friends or family as part of their training and stunting their mettle and will not drop out and looking for religious fanatics making their movement (The intention of the LRA is governed under the Ten Commandments of the Catholic church which also mutilated noses, arms and lips as a warning in their understanding of divine justice to those who do not profess its ideals).

Many of these little ones manage to escape the ranks of the LRA but are afraid to return home thinking that they can be rejected by the atrocities they were forced to commit. Moreover all those women who have been orphaned or widowed, crippled and vulnerable groups have come together and sing messages of forgiveness, telling all those veterans who are forgiven, they return home, at home, waiting with arms and an open heart.

These songs are being broadcast by radio and word of mouth and appears to be running back and that some, but the important thing is that for the first time in 24 years is a possibility of real peace. This is where The Voice Project Movement was born.

The Voice Project Movement was started with songs, words and music. The artists participating in the project are spreading the word by a string of scenes to amplify the message of their songs in order to support the peace movement.

Thus Joe Purdie passes it to REM, Mike Mills passes it to Billi Bragg, Joseph Artur hands it to Peter Gabriel, Peter Gabriel passes it to Tom Waits, and the message is an artist run artist, mouth mouth. The list of artists is growing significantly to match its influence.

The message that this is rescued twice: first, the music and message by word of mouth can change the world. Secondly we put our beards to soak in Veracruz and other states, the organized crime group in vogue has begun to imitate these actions kidnapping children and adolescents to swell their ranks, either by threats or promises of wealth and power, take the example of pain of the people of Uganda that after 24 years and over a hundred thousand dead begins to have a chance for peace. Let's not wait so long and so much disaster.
